Sony sees a great potential in Spider-Man’s enemies, that its structure has been built by Venom, or as well-imagining as its enigma. It should surprise everyone to discover that the main villain of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the Spot. Even though most are doubtful that the Spot will be a compelling villain, the film’s producer, Phil Lord, thinks otherwise.
The Spot will go from D-list Spider-Man foe to A-list villain once we see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Lord revealed in an Entertainment Weekly interview that Spot is a clown-like man of Spider-Man, calling him a character with “a stupid costume and not always seen as an ideal opponent of Spider-Man foes; however, like everyone else wants to be taken seriously.”
