Noodlecake’s Slash Quest, a former Apple Arcade exclusive, is returning to the iOS App Store. The game is now free to try for all users, with a 20% discount off the premium price for the next two weeks, after the Apple subscription service ended earlier. Better yet, the try-before-you-buy clause means you can give the game a go before deciding if it’s for you!
Slash Quest puts you in the shoes of a typical sword-wielding fantasy hero. However, the problem is just that This The sword has a mind of its own that you have to manage. While fighting enemies, grabbing loot and exploring the world, you’ll have to be careful where your giant broadsword is dragging you as you wander and drift through the terrain, killing your friends in the process. Avoid putting you at further risk.
The combination of quirky graphics, humor and an innovative gameplay concept turns a simple puzzler into an exciting game!

We noted a while back that it’s a shame that some of Apple Arcade’s great exclusives, like Clash Quest, have been pulled from the service. And while we don’t expect that developers Noodlecake didn’t know this would happen, the wait for the game to return to storefronts may have been a little longer than we expected. There could be many reasons for this, an exclusivity clause for example, but regardless we’re happy to see this game open up to a wider audience.
