As Epic Games works to tune up and update Fortnite’s servers for the launch of Chapter 5, Season 3, data miners and leakers are busy sifting through the files for the new update and may have found information about Pirates crossovers of the Caribbean and still. Another Marvel collaboration.
The news comes through the prestigious data miner HYPEX. Firstly, they revealed that a Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean crossover is coming later this season. A treasure map, which will likely lead players to buried loot, and a pirate cannon are all that have been revealed as part of this crossover at this time. I assume that as part of a licensed crossover, at least one Captain Jack skin will also be available to purchase in the Item Shop.
HYPEX also revealed that the theme for Season 4 will be Marvel, in case you’re not done with superheroes in Fortnite. The only information we have about the season so far is that Wolverine’s Claws will be revamped, as will a Striker Burst Rifle. A Super Launch Pad will also be part of the season, but fans are already hoping this points to a specific X-Men theme for the upcoming season.
A roadmap for Fortnite in 2024 was leaked last month and claimed that Season 4 would be a Marvel-themed season. These leaks seem to lend credence to the legitimacy of the roadmap, meaning we could be seeing an OG Chapter 2 season in November. As a huge fan of last year’s OG season, I would be all for this.
