NetEase has introduced the new MuMu Player Pro Android Emulator for MacOS.

    • NetEase’s MuMu Player emulator is getting a new version.
    • MuMu Player Pro takes advantage of Apple’s new Silicon Macs.
    • It promises better performance, graphics and more.

When it comes to emulators, we often think of unofficial or fan-made ones dedicated to preserving old or inaccessible games. But emulation is actually used by many companies, and one of the most popular is NetEase’s MuMu Player.

Allowing MacOS players to emulate the Android interface and play exclusive games from previous Androids (as long as they’re supported), MuMu Player was released well into 2015.

So why are we talking about it now? Well, because, MMO Player has an update for the new Silicon Mac version. MuMu Player Pro, announced yesterday, according to NetEase, will allow players to take advantage of the latest Macs including performance enhancements in terms of graphics and optimizations.

While MuMu Player isn’t exactly a charity program (it’s Netease, after all, so naturally they charge for it) it’s sure to be interesting for those who primarily play their games on a Mac. There are tons of great games on Android (here’s a sneaky link to our own Best Games of 2024 list for starters) that aren’t available on iOS or even MacOS, despite supporting desktop versions.

How much the game changer MuMu Player Pro will cost depends on how many games it can support and are available.

MuMu Player Pro is currently in beta, you can Check in on the official website. To view more information.

As for what else, well, we’re getting to the weekend. So there’s a lot to go on! Why not take a look at the latest entry in our regular feature of the top five new mobile games you need to try this week?
