The MW3 Beta and Modern Warfare 3 Beta are here for PlayStation users, which makes me glad to have the console. While other platforms will gain access later, PS5 users are among the first to play the next Call of Duty installment. However, I ran into an issue early on where I couldn’t play the beta and only had the option to pre-order. How to fix MW3 Beta and Modern Warfare 3 Beta does not work on PlayStation 5
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Beta began on October 6, 2023, only for PlayStation players, but many, including myself, were unable to launch the game. Although it was frustrating, I discovered a way to get MW3 Beta working on PlayStation 5. Here’s how to fix the beta not working on PlayStation and how to play.

- Find Modern Warfare 3 on CoD Hub.
- press the Begin button.
- Scroll down to Modern Warfare 3 Beta in the new window.
- Press x to start the Beta.
I had to close and reopen CoD Hub for this option to appear. Previously, it kept showing the option to pre-order Modern Warfare 3 only. Once I finally got into beta and was able to play, the default was to play instead of pre-order.
You may not encounter this problem, but if you do, the above method should solve it. It appears to be a bug or an unclear method of starting the beta. Hopefully it will be fixed quickly and won’t be present for the rest of the beta.
