Cyberpunk 2077 will celebrate its third anniversary on December 10, 2023. It was the most anticipated game of the last decade and its popularity was unmatched. When the game was released in 2020, it was a huge disappointment due to its unfinished state. Since then, the developers have continually pushed update after update trying to perfect the game.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth playing now?

After the 2.0 update, I firmly believe that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best first-person shooter, role-playing, and open-world games you can play today. There’s no doubt that the game’s story has always been fantastic, but the high number of bugs and horrible performance greatly affected the gaming community’s perception of the game, which is totally fair. Three years after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 has once again gained popularity and is now one of the top five games on Steam based on current player count.

The game can now be purchased at a fraction of its launch price, and even if you include the new Phantom Liberty expansion, it’s the best gaming experience for the money. Now you can really enjoy what the developers at CD Projekt Red wanted to offer. But before that, be sure to check the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 and check out some games to know what you’re paying for.

Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 completely changes the perk system and cyberware mechanics, which I think are two of the best changes for the game. These revisions make Cyberpunk a true RPG where you can build your character however you want depending on your play style.

The AI combat mechanics, especially the police system, have been nicely remastered to improve immersion. You’ll also like the new armed vehicles and the ability to fire weapons while driving. My favorite part of vehicular combat is the ability to wield and use katanas while riding motorcycles. The base game is perfect in itself, however, you should try Phantom Liberty as it has the new Dogtown district, an alternate history, and some new features like airdrop and messaging.
