In Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.3, a host of new equipment, items, and other things were added that require a strange material called Gripgel. Gripgel is an essential ingredient in item level 620 Indagator gear sets, and it’s pretty hard to obtain. Here’s how to get Gripgel in Final Fantasy XIV.
How to get Gripgel in FFXIV
Gripgel can only be obtained by trading White Scrips with Scrip Exchange merchants. A piece of Gripgel is obtained for 500 White Crafter’s Scrips. You can talk to any of the Scrip Exchange NPCs for this, but we recommend the one in Radz-at-Han, X: 11.6, Y: 9.4for the sake of ease.

White Crafter’s Scrips can be obtained by trading collectibles with Collectible Appraiser NPCs in places like Mor Dhona, Rhalgr’s Reach, and more recently Radz-at-Han, X: 11.7, Y: 9.8. White Scrips can be obtained from collectibles from any of the previous expansions, but to get the most out of it, it’s best to focus on current expansion crafts.
Also, the biggest and best source of White Crafters Scrips are definitely custom drops, with the most recent being added in patch 6.3. Once a week, you can deliver materials to an NPC for a large number of white and purple vouchers. This is one of the easiest ways to get Scrips of both types.
