In Rogue Prince of Persia, players must find and purchase most tools to unlock them. I’ll explain where to find each tool, how much they cost, and how to use them in The Rogue Prince of Persia.
There are six tools that players can gather in The Rogue Prince of Persia. Two of these are provided to players at the beginning, while players must find and purchase the other four to use them.
compound bow
Location: Available from the beginning
Price in Forge: Free
The compound bow is a basic secondary weapon. Shoot an arrow in a straight line from the player to the first obstacle in their path. It is simple but practical. Players will begin each run with the compound bow in their tool slot.
chakram
Location: Available from the beginning
Price in Forge: Free
The Chakram is the second of the two weapons available from the start of the game. It is similar to a boomerang in that it returns to the player after being thrown. Enemies are damaged by the Chakram both when it is thrown and when it returns.
Hook
Location: Available after unlocking Forge.
Price in Forge: 50 spiritual flashes
The grappling hook is the easiest of the four hidden tools to find and unlock. When used, it will grab an enemy and pull them closer to the player. It will also stun that enemy in the process. Players can also use the grappling hook to bring objects closer.
stealthy spirit
Location: The equipment chest in the academy.
Price in Forge: 30 spiritual flashes
The Stealth Spirit quickly draws the Prince towards an enemy in front of him. It will slightly damage the enemy and place the Prince behind them if they are within range of the Stealth Spirit. It’s great for avoiding attacks or for use with medallions that grant bonuses for attacking enemies from behind. If there is no enemy in front of the Prince, he will simply advance an equivalent distance.
toothed saw
Location: The equipment chest in the aqueduct.
Price in Forge: 40 spiritual flashes
The Serrated Saw is identical to the Chakram but with the addition of spikes. It does more damage to enemies than the Chakram at the cost of damaging the Prince when used. You will have to use it very carefully to avoid being left out of the fight.
Berude’s Gauntlet
Location: Berude drops it after being defeated.
Price in Forge: 50 spiritual flashes
The Berude Gauntlet is the most difficult tool to obtain, but it is the most physically powerful. When using it, players will jump to the side and smash their first attempt. This will damage enemies in that area, but will also send small shockwaves left and right. I found that it doesn’t recharge as quickly as other tools, but that balances the great power it has.
