Like any online game launcher, Ubisoft Connect will experience several issues. Some might say UC experiences more than the normal amount. If you’re having trouble playing, here’s how to fix the Ubisoft Connect initialization error.
How to fix Ubisoft Connect initialization error
Anyone who plays through Ubisoft Connect will know that it is a launcher with many problems. I don’t think I’ve ever started a game of Siege on the first try without it restarting about three times.
If you are stuck initializing Ubisoft Connect error, there are a few things you can do to try to resolve it. First, close Ubisoft Connect completely before opening it again. Go as far as to Final task in Task Manager.
If that doesn’t work, then uninstall and reinstall the application. Ubisoft has a complete reinstallation guide, so make sure you follow it exactly so that everything works correctly. Try the launcher and if the problem persists, you will need to go one step further.
One solution I’ve seen work for many people is to run Ubisoft Connect as administrator. To do it:
- go to your Program files (x86)
- Find the Ubisoft folder
- Open the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder.
- The right button of the mouse UbisoftConnect.exe
- Select Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Select run this program as administrator.
- Click Apply and then it’s okay
Please note that if you use a VPN, this could cause problems with Ubisoft Connect working properly. However, I saw people comment that the VPN worked to solve their problems, so it seems to be a fifty-fifty whether it’s causing problems or solving them.
The last solution is to contact Ubisoft Customer Support. If anyone can help you, hopefully it should be them.
