I was hoping to play Wuthering Waves with a controller, but when I plugged in my DualSense that wasn’t the case. If you are facing the same issue, there is a simple solution using third-party software to fix the driver not working on Wuthering Waves.
The main reason you are having problems using your favorite controller in Wuthering Waves is that the game does not support it. To fix this, you must use third-party software that registers your controller as a input driver.
How to use unsupported drivers in Wuthering Waves
You can use many programs to achieve this, but the best and easiest to use is DS4. To get started, follow the steps below:
- Go to the official DS4 for Windows download page and click on the download button to get DS4.
- Open the downloaded Zip folder and undo the content wherever you want.
- Search and open DS4Windows.exe from this folder and install ViGEm bus driver from the popup window.
- Restart your computer and open DS4 and Wuthering Waves to enjoy the game with your controller.
If you are still having problems, you need to enable your driver from DS4 settings. Follow the steps here to do it:
- Open DS4Windows and go to settings from the tabs at the top.
- Click on Device options to open Controller Type Options.
- Mark all drivers listed, and your driver should now be detected on DS4.
- Once you’re done, reboot ds4 and open Wuthering Waves to play it with your controller.
The controls appear as Xbox controllersso you may have to adjust a little if you’re using a PlayStation controller, but everything else works as intended.
