The Fishing for Answers quest in Palia is an optional hidden quest in the game you can pick up after interacting with the Lighthouse Keeper’s journal.
During the Palia quest, you’ll need to find three letters and the Lighthouse Keeper’s Secret Spot to yield the quest rewards.
The quest follows the love and loss between two lighthouse keepers who are driven apart by the sea after an argument. Your job is to follow the trail of letters and find out what happened to the couple.

How to start the Fishing for Answers quest in Palia
Click to enlargeTo start the Fishing for Answers quest in Palia, you’ll need to journey to The Old Lighthouse in Bahari Bay.
From the entrance of The Old Lighthouse, turn right and you’ll see an old journal on a desk containing reports from one of the Lighthouse Keepers.
It seems that both keepers, Faadhil and Jabarii had an argument which resulted in Jabarii leaving with no way of contact. Due to increasing loneliness, Faadhil resolves to launch his letters into the sea in bottles, in the hope that one will reach his lost companion.

Palia Fishing for Answers quest: All letter locations
Click to enlargeThere are three letters in total to find during the Fishing for Answers quest, all are floating in the sea and will require you to fish up.
Travel east of the Lighthouse to the docks below. From the docks, cast your rod out into the open water without bait.
It may take some time but eventually, you’ll catch all three bottled letters. Once you do, read them to advance the quest.

Where to find the Lighthouse Keeper’s Secret Spot in Palia
Click to enlargeThe bottles reveal that Faadhil, still with no response to his letters, ends up being relocated to Akwinduu but decides to visit his and Jabarii’s secret spot first, where they used to visit and share a box of chocolates.
To find Faadhil’s secret spot, travel to Lighthouse Lagoon, and climb up on the rocks until you stand on a rock outcropping with a glowing dig spot (indicated via the image above).
Interact with the dig spot here and you’ll receive one last letter, this time from Jabarii, who has received a letter and is on his way to find Faadhil.
Upon reading this, the quest will be completed and you’ll receive some rewards, as listed below.

- Lighthouse Keeper’s Ring (worth 300 Gold)
- Heartdrop Lily (Rare flower, worth 30 Gold)
