    Nintendo released its latest round of financial results, this time for the first quarter of the 2023 fiscal year, which covers April, May and June 2022. In it, the company revealed that the Switch has crossed 111 million units sold but, despite this, overall sales are down.

    In terms of hardware, sales fell 22.9 percent, with Nintendo citing ongoing semiconductor shortages. Software sales are also down, down 8.6 percent in the quarter.
