Genshin Impact’s sprawling land of Teyvat is covered in floating mechanisms known as time trial challenges that reward players with Achievements once a certain number of challenges have been completed. As more new areas are released, the total number of time trials further increases! Read on to find the locations of all 410 time trial challenges in Genshin Impact.
In total, I found 17 total time trial locations in Mondstadt, 16 in Dragonspine, 45 scattered across Liyue, 20 in the Chasm, 80 in Inazuma, 18 in Enkanomiya, and 157 in Sumeru (whew!), and 47 in Fontaine. Luckily, you can choose to complete these trials in co-op to make the process a little easier.
Time Trial Locations
All Mondstadt Time Trial Locations
Completing 5/10/15 of the Mondstadt time trials will reward you with the Wind-Chasing Adventurer Achievement. Reference the image below to find the 17 time trial locations in Mondstadt, which are marked with red stars.

All Dragonspine Time Trial Locations
There are currently no achievements for completing the time trials in Dragonspine, but these challenges can offer other rewards, like discovering Crimson Agate, Chests, and unlocking new areas in the Dragonspine region (necessary to clear the In The Mountains questline). All 16 time trial locations in Dragonspine have been marked on the map below.
All Liyue Time Trial Locations
Completing 10/20/40 of Liyue’s time trial challenges will grant you the Rock-Steady Adventurer Achievement. Since Liyue is such a large region, we’ve divided its 45 time trial locations into four main areas. Below, you’ll find the eight time trial challenges in Bishui Plain.
The screenshot below shows eight time trial locations in Qiongji Estuary.
The next screenshot reflects the locations of the 22 time trial challenges in Minlin.
Finally, seven time trial challenges can be found in Lisha and the Sea of Clouds.
All The Chasm Time Trial Locations
A total of 15 time trial challenges can be found within The Chasm, both above-ground and underground combined. Completing 3/6/12 challenges will earn you the Chasm Adventurer Achievement. The final five time trials can be found around The Chasm’s Maw.

Meanwhile, in The Chasm’s Underground Mines, you’ll find a total of 12 time trials around the Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel, Main Mining Area, and Underground Waterway.
The final three trials in The Chasm’s Underground Mines can be found along the Nameless Ruins, Stony Halls, and Glowing Narrows.
All Inazuma Time Trial Locations
Inazuma is divided into multiple islands that cumulatively house 80 time trial challenges to keep you on your toes. Completing 6/12/24 challenges in Narukami Island, Kannazuka, and Yashiori Island unlocks the Lightning-Riding Adventurer (I) Achievement while doing 6/12/24 in Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island grants the Lightning-Riding Adventurer (II) Achievement. Completing 5/10/12 of them in Tsurumi Island will unlock the Lost Adventurer Achievement. Upon landing on Inazuma, your first stop is Narukami Island, which is home to seven time trial challenges.
In the joint islands Kannazuka and Yashiori Island, you’ll find 28 time trial challenges.
A little way to the left is Watatsumi Island—home to 17 time trial challenges.
Meanwhile, there are 12 time trial challenges located on Seirai Island.
Finally, there are 16 time trial challenges that you can complete on Tsurumi Island. That includes the three located in the group of islets north of the main island.
All Enkanomiya Time Trial Locations
Enkanomiya consists of five islands, and there are a total of 18 time trial challenges that can be found here. Completing 3/6/12 will award players the Kairos’ Constancy Achievement. The first stop in Enkanomiya is The Serpent’s Bowels, where four time trial challenges can be found.
In The Narrows, Dainichi Mikoshi, and Evernight Temple, nine time trial challenges are waiting to be cleared.
The final island in Enkanomiya is The Serpent’s Heart, and five time trial challenges can be taken on here.
All Sumeru Time Trial Locations
Sumeru’s rainforest area is home to 43 time trial challenges, including those with mechanics unique to the region—such as Phantasmal Gate Challenges. Completing 10/20/40 challenges will unlock the Adventurer of the Shimmering Woods Achievement.
First off, below are all the time trial challenges you can find in the Avidya Forest—there are four in total.
Meanwhile, the Lokapala Jungle is home to 11 time trial challenges.
Explore further south to find eight time trial challenges in Andravi Valley.
Meanwhile, there are 12 time trial challenges in the Ashavan Realm.
There are five time trial challenges in the Vissudha Field, not including the Jadeplume Terrorshroom’s territory west of Vanarana.
Lastly, there are three time trial challenges in Vanarana, as well as the northwest part of Vissudha Field.
Sumeru’s Hypostyle Desert has 52 time trial challenges between three main areas: The Hypostyle Desert, Land of Lower Setekh, and Land of Upper Setekh. Time trial challenges on the desert surface are marked with a star. Some time trials are below ground or inside a tomb or cave, and you will likely need to have completed the Golden Slumber World Quest to be able to access them. These challenges are marked with a banner and an exclamation point. Completing 10/20/40 challenges will unlock the Quicksand Adventurer Achievement.

Sumeru’s Desert of Hadramaveth has 38 time trials for you to take on. Once again, some are located underground. These trials will show a layer icon in the bottom right corner of the pin. There will be a separate underground map to help you find these trials.
There are five trials in the northeast corner by the Dunes of Steel.
You can find four time trials in the northwest corner nearby The Sands of the Three Canals.
On the western edge of the desert are five more trials nearby Wounded Shin Valley.
The south east portion of the Desert of Hadramaveth has eight more trials in it.
Finally, the south west corner has a whopping sixteen time trials for you to find.
Gavireh Lajavard and the Realm of Farakhkert have 24 more time trials for you to find. You can start with these three nearby the entrance to this portion of the map, nearby the Desert of Hadramaveth.
There are ten more to find nearby the Tunigi Hollow. Keep in mind that the three circled Time Trials are underground. You should reference the underground map below for their location.
You can find two more to find nearby the Samudra Coast. Once again, one of these trials is underground, so refer to the underground map for it.
There are also four time trials surrounding a pool of water to the west of the Hills of Barsom. Three of them make up a special Kory Drum Time Trial Puzzle.
Finally, these last five can be found around the Vourukasha Oasis.
All Fontaine Time Trial Locations
Fontaine’s initial area (as of Version 4.0) is home to 57 Time Trials, including underwater challenges unique to the region. Completing 3/6/12 Time Trial Challenges in the region will reward you with the Waveriding Adventurer (I)/(II)/(III) Achievement under the Fontaine: Dance of the Dew-White Springs (I) Achievement series.

Above, you’ll find the location of two Time Trial Challenges in the Institute of Natural Philosophy, which unlocks in the Aqueous Tidemarks World Quest.
There are three standard types of time trials:
- Archery challenge
- Combat challenge
- Racing or parkour challenge
In Sumeru, you can experience similar challenge objectives, but may need to play an Aranara song to activate the challenge. Meanwhile, in Fontaine, you will find unique objectives in the underwater areas, which can only be completed using the region’s underwater mechanics.
