HoYoverse has confirmed the release of two new characters for version 3.4: Yaoyao and Alhaitham.

    Alhaitham: model, kit, skills, gameplay

Alhaitham is a scribe working for Sumeru Akademiya and is part of the Haravatat Darshan, evident by his implicit linguistic ability. He is someone who is only governed by rationality, and often clashes with Cyno during the Sumeru Archon Quest. According to leaker @taotaorerun, his birthday is supposedly on February 11. If this is true, players will be able to receive a wonderful greeting from Alhaitham shortly after he’s released, and very close to Valentine’s Day.

It has also been leaked that Alhaitham is a five-star Dendro sword user with a kit that supposedly extremely similar to that of Keqing. It already made headlines before its release for a nerf that supposedly happened in the beta. According to leaks, your Ascension materials may include materials from a new boss, as well as a new local specialty, so pre-farming may not be possible.

Interestingly, the video above by leaker SimakoV shows what is supposed to be an idle animation of Alhaitham holding two keys, with a close-up taken by a Reddit user you/seramaie. The animation implies that Alhaitham may have accidentally taken the keys of his roommate Kaveh along with his own, as the lion with a mechanical mane keyring is representative of the Kshahrewar Darshan, of which Kaven is a part.

    Yaoyao: model, kit, skills, gameplay

Yaoyao is Madame Ping’s youngest student with a mature disposition despite her small size. She enjoys hanging out at the Alcor, so much so that Ganyu has been tasked with retrieving Yaoyao in case she gets carried away with playing on the pirate ship. It has been leaked that she is a four-star Dendro polearm user with a kit that supposedly focuses on healing and summoning her familiar, Yuegui, to throw radishes that deal Dendro damage.

According to leaks, Yaoyao’s Ascension materials will possibly include a cooking staple, Jueyun Chilis, as well as Shou no Kami Talent materials. It is possible to grow it beforehand, but please note that the information is not confirmed.

    Character Banner Roadmap

Twitter leaker @Ubacha1, @SagiriShape, @SaveYourCousinsY uncle lu posted questionable character banner roadmaps up to version 3.6. All of their predictions for version 3.3 were correct, but there is no guarantee that the future roadmap will stay true to the actual release.

    • 3.4 first half – Alhaitham (Five-Star Dendro Sword), Xiao (Five-Star Anemo Polearm) and Yaoyao (Four-Star Dendro Polearm)
    • 3.4 second half – Hu Tao (Five Star Pyro Polearm) and Yelan (Five Star Hydro Bow)
    • 3.5 – Dehya (5-star Claymore Pyro) and Mika (4-star Cryo Polearm)
    • 3.6 – Baizhu (5-star Dendro catalyst) and a new unknown character, some speculate that Nahida will be rerun following the Archons pattern that reruns every four patches after release.

    New character skins

Despite being a gacha game, Genshin Impact is known to not over-monetize with character skins, only releasing two at a time. The last batch went to Diluc and Fischl during the Golden Apple Archipelago Summer Update. Now, leaks allege that Genshin could possibly come out with another pair of skins, this time for Kamisato Ayaka and Lisa.

These were initially distributed by chinese team, who has since deleted the original tweet. However, the community took notice and improved the leaked descriptions and created fan-made artwork based on the crawled sources. While the artwork below is beautiful, it is unofficial.

    ayaka skin

The leaks suggest that Ayaka’s skin will possibly be a five starputting it on par with Diluc’s Red Dead of Night costume.

    smooth skin

The supposed design of Lisa’s outfit has drawn particular attention due to it being an ode to her time on Sumeru. She was known as the Akademiya’s most distinguished scholar in 200 years, but she chose to live as a librarian in Monstadt.

    new weapon

According to Twitter leaker @sipsipsquad, version 3.4 could possibly feature a new weapon alongside Alhaitham supposedly called Light of Foliar Sanction, as is usual with five-star character releases.

    New Area: Hamdramaveth Desert

The long-awaited Sumeru desert expansion may arrive in version 3.4 if the leaks are to be believed. The Lower Setekh area above Land has been completely empty, but leaked maps like the one above show what appears to be a large desert with a direct road from Old Vanarana. Based on a tutorial by Unknown Goddessthe Hadramaveth desert appears to be a massive expanse with few major above-ground structures, possibly indicating underground exploration.

Another leak suggests that the Hadramaveth Desert could possibly have environmental quirks, similar to Inazuma’s Tatarasuna and The Chasm: Underground Mines. The Chinese team claimed that a new device it may be necessary to navigate desert sandstorms and may work similarly to Lumenstone adjuvant.

Furthermore, the leaked information originally published on Pengepul Teyvat and posted on r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks alleges that Version 3.4 may see three new Shrines of the Depths and the rest of the Dendroculi needed to max out the Sumeru Statue of The Seven. Still, a leak from @genshinBLANK alleges that the desert can expand further in version 3.6 to include areas supposedly called Dendro Dragon’s Cave and Dendro Archon’s Lake.

    new enemies

Along with the new area, the leakers also allege that new enemies may appear in version 3.4.

    Normal Boss – Setekh Wenut

The Setekh Wenut is leaked to be a normal boss where players could possibly farm for Ascension materials. It will supposedly live in the new desert area, and appears to have similar mechanics to the Serpent of Ruins, in that it constantly seeks to bury itself underground.

    common enemies

New common enemies it will supposedly appear in version 3.4, possibly in the new desert area as well. According to the leaks, they are called the Blessbone Flying Serpent, the Blessbone Red Vulture, and the Blessbone Scorpion.

    New system update

A leak posted on the GI Front Discord channel and cross-referenced on r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks alleges a major quality of life update for Artifact Strongbox. According to the video, players could drag to select instead of having to click on each artifact one by one.

    new events

    lantern rite

Due to timing, version 3.4 is expected to be packed with Lantern Rite festivities. The exact format of this year has not been officially announced, but leaks allege that the following activities may take place:

a leaker of NGA (Chinese forum) claimed that the Lantern Rite PV can possibly showing the human form of Cloud Retainer. The adeptus has always been at the forefront of bird memes due to his appearance, but he has been described as having a “tsundere” personality, with a similar appearance to Shenhe and a respectable aura.

    onikabuto event

A leak originally posted on Telegram alleges that version 3.4 may include an Onikabuto event. Players may be familiar with the bug battles that keep the children of Hanamizaka (Itto included) entertained. The update may bring this competitive game to life.

    warrior spirit

Based on a fugue with a barebones overview of the events of version 3.4, Warrior’s Spirit is supposedly a battle-focused event set in Inazuma. Another leak suggests that Kamisato Ayaka may appear.

    second bloom

Similarly to Warrior’s Spirit, the same basic description of the events of Version 3.4 alleges that Second Blooming may be another combat-focused activity, but set on Sumeru.
