Before we know how to get high level gear for your operators, let’s first see how you can change them. From the DMZ main menu, go to the Active service section where you normally equip your gear. In the left corner, you will see the Active Duty Operator selected. You can change the character by selecting the Exchange option and selection of two other base operators.

When selecting a carrier for your active duty space, you will note the items that carriers are currently equipped with. These are the teams for that carrier that you acquired during your deployment and successfully leaked with.

Pictured above, all three active duty operators are fully equipped. Acquire the following five items and mine them to fully equip your Operator:

    1. Big backpack
    2. kill streak (UAV, Advanced UAV, Bomb Drone, Precision Air Strike, Cluster Mine, etc.)
    3. 3-Plate Armor Vest (Normal vest, communications vest, stealth vest, medical vest and temperate vest)
    4. durable gas mask
    5. Self-reactivation kit

Once you have these items for, say, your first Active Duty Operator, mine them from the DMZ to mark the first task of the Gear Up mission. Now, select the second Active Duty Operator and purchase gear for him. Do the same with the third operator in the next match to complete the mission.

There are several ways to fully equip your Operators in the DMZ. A great way to acquire good gear and loot is by visiting the Ashika Port POI in the Ashika Island map. This region has around 10 Strongholds in each match that you can clear and loot for the necessary items.

Buy stations on the maps are the next best places to visit where you can spend your cash to buy the required items from the Gear menu. These include 3-Plate Armored Vests, Large Backpacks, and random Killstreaks that cost $35,000, $30,000, and $12,000 respectively. In addition, you can exchange specific valuables for equipment from the Barter menu:

    • 3-Plate Communications Vest: 2 Hard Drives, 2 Batteries, 1 Soothing Hand Cream
    • 3 plate medical vest: 3 Bandages, 1 Liquor, 1 Watch
    • durable gas mask: 2 toothpastes, 1 lighter
    • 3-Plate Stealth Vest (Al Mazrah only): 2 electrical components, 1 comic, 1 game console
    • tempered plate carrier (Ashika Island only): 1 Classified Documents, 1 Sensitive Documents, 1 Documents

On top of that, you can also acquire high level gear quite easily by unlocking and looting closed spaces if you have his key. You can also loot supplies from dead enemy planes and operators for valuables. Completing the Gear Up mission rewards players with the Town Hall Hideout Key which can be used for the Whistleblower quest for Tier 1 Crown.
