It’s time to pop the champagne because Wuthering Waves has risen to the number one download spot in over 100 regions. Fans are also thrilled with the success of the game and the beautiful art we received to celebrate it.
I love the joy on everyone’s faces, but especially on Yinlin’s, a close character that I’m really looking forward to. I wonder if we’ll get some cool in-game rewards to celebrate the occasion (I never miss a chance to get free stuff).
Previously, Wuthering Waves also surpassed its pre-launch goals despite many doubts. They managed to get 30 million pre-registrations, meet all the fan reward goals (which I was very happy about), and dispel all doubts. I can only imagine the joy the developers at Kuro Games are feeling right now knowing that so many people around the world are sitting down and playing.
While they have been on the rise, many issues that have plagued the game since its release leave a bitter taste of that champagne for fans. Some of the worst problems included unoptimized gameplay, which left fans struggling to run the game (even I had some issues on my monster PC at first), unskippable cutscenes, and a relatively slow story at the beginning.
However, what I find extremely admirable about Kuro Games is that they have been actively working to improve Wuthering Waves and are committed to making it a fun experience for everyone. There are many updates in the future of this gacha game, which will hopefully help maintain the current player base and even increase it.
