It was superboss. Ultimate after a very long break. He quickly proved that he was still capable of now.
First in line, Sparg0 won the tournament over Tweek without dropping one set, and claiming victory in 3-1 fashion from the winners side, so the set was just finished in four games. This grand final was a runback of Mainstage where Sparg0 also lost to Tweek.
MkLeo, widely considered the best Smash Ultimate player, didn’t even reach the top three. Leo went fifth in the championship after losing to Shuton (0-3) and Tweek (0-3).
It doesn’t seem that this is a Leos tournament, he fumbled in first two sets to win against Ferps and Riddles to win 3-2. He even had to return against Riddles by using his Marth when he was depressed by 0-2.
I had no more talk about my performance, but I thought it was a good way to end the year. Next time, I’ll try harder. Thanks to all of the staff at LudwigAhgren.

Shuton put on a show with the runner-up of seventh place, with a 3-0 victory for the best player in the world, MKLeo. He’s only lost to the last two days. The Japanese got to the tournament, with Sparg0 acknowledging that he was surprised when he fought acola.
In other parts, Light finished fifth. While it appears to be a low-fortification field for top-four players, he said on stream he was satisfied with his placement already because he beat his previous placement in the Ludwig Smash Invitational, which was 13th place.
The 5th place in ludwigs. I did better here than last ludwigs, so I proudly do it. I’ve never done that again. I don’t like Steve lol.

When Sparg0 was interviewed after he was awarded the gold medal, he said that he had back on the Smash Ultimate grind, for real now, and that he was playing at a level that is the best he’s ever played.
