If animal husbandry or traditional farming doesn’t suit you, it might be time for you to consider forestry in Farming Simulator 22. While there are some aspects of forestry in the game that require some nuance, we’ve compiled all of our tips and tricks. favorites below so you can start planting your own industrial forest.

Growing trees in Farming Simulator 22

There are 13 types of trees in Farming Simulator 22. On average, trees take two and a half years to reach their full height. This does not include poplars, which only take 16 months to reach their full height. However, we don’t recommend planting poplars, because although they grow quickly, they can only be used for wood chips and poplar bales, dramatically lowering their selling price.

    The trees available are:

    • Poplar
    • Pine tree
    • stone pine
    • Fir tree
    • Birch
    • Oak
    • Willow
    • Maple
    • slippery elm
    • dogwood pagoda
    • shagbark walnut
    • Cypress
    • downy service berry

If you’re looking for a tree that has the highest yield of all, you’ll want to plant slippery elms. They typically produce about three times as much usable wood as the other trees on this list.

Plant trees in Farming Simulator 22

To plant trees in Farming Simulator 22, you will first need to go to the store and buy saplings from the palette tab. The palettes tab can be found under the objects.

Once you have your trees, you will also need to obtain a Damcon PL-75 (found in the forestry section) and a tractor that can pull it. Trees do not need a plowed field, water or fertilizer. Just load up the trees, go where you want them, and plant the trees. After that, wait the required amount of time before cutting them.

We recommend planting trees in areas that for one reason or another are not suitable for other types of fields. This way, you can still make money from your other fields while using space that other crops can’t handle.

Once your trees are fully grown, you can cut them down with a chainsaw. We recommend the Rotten H21D to cut down trees.

    wood sale

After cutting down the trees, head to the woodshop if you have it. The wood shop will turn his raw lumber into furniture that sells for around $3,000 per pallet. While it costs $60,000 to get the woodshop, it’s a worthwhile investment, especially since the ROI will open you up to create a sawmill (which costs $100,000).
