The Encryptid event is a public event in Fallout 76. It was first introduced in the Wild Appalachia update. This event will summon the Imposter Sheepsquatch with invulnerability and a horde of other robots backing him up. It is one of the most challenging events in the game and requires good communication and teamwork. Starting this event was confusing for some players, and in this guide we will explain how to start it.
How to Start a Fallout 76 Encryptid Event
To start an Encryptid event in Fallout 76, you must have an Assaultron Recovery Card. You can get the Assaultron Salvage Card when you finish the Calvin van Lowe quest line and after that, assemble it at the Tinsmith’s workbench. Remember that when making the Keycard, it only has a single use. These are the ingredients you need to assemble one.

- stable fluorescent flux x1
- Rubber x1
- memory access card circuit board x 1 (you can get this from vendors for 2000 Bottlecaps)
- Copper x1
You can trigger this event only if it has not occurred on the server for at least three hours. If you don’t feel like waiting, you can server hop until you find the server where the event isn’t on cooldown and start there. Once you get the card, go to the terminal in the Pylon ambush on Ash Heap to start the event.
