Tips to fight insects in Fallout 76

To fight insects more efficiently in Fallout 76, we recommend having a Terminator perk, which causes your attacks to ignore 25% armor on any insects you encounter. For added effectiveness, you can also add the legendary Exterminator effect. Certain weapons are especially effective against bugs, such as a bug grenade. This weapon deals increased damage against Insect opponents and damages them over time.

Insects come in various shapes and sizes. This will determine your strategy when fighting them. Some are small and have low health, like ants and stumpflies. These are most easily dispatched with the use of a VATS system and an accurate weapon. Others, like Honey Beasts, are huge, with a health pool to match. These heavy monstrosities have slow but powerful attacks that deal crippling damage, especially if you are caught in a stagger. The best approach against such opponents is to treat them like any giant creature in the Wasteland. Use your most powerful weapons and explosives to quickly dispatch them.
