    Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG goes live in a few hours after its downtime is complete, and it brings players back to the 2018 Chapter 1 map, with throwback weapons, loot, vehicles and more. Anything included. While this is technically Season 5 of Fortnite Chapter 4, which follows the previous Last Resort season, developer Epic Games is calling it Season OG, and it makes sense given how much of Fortnite 2018 is featuring.

    Throwback nostalgia continues throughout the season as each new update brings with it a different phase of Fortnite Chapter 1’s past, starting with Season 5. This means weapons like assault rifles and pump shotguns, and vehicles like shopping carts, will both feature. Zero build and regular Battle Royale Fortnite.

    Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG.

    While each update listed below brings new weapons and more to Season OG, all based on the previous Chapter 1 season, Epic says some non-vault gear will remain throughout the update while others will only be available in the same update.     Season 5: The Return of Lean, Grease and Dangerous.

    First released during Chapter 1: Season 2, the Leaning Towers is a point of interest on the island that will remain until Season OG’s Season 9 update. Along with the Tilted Towers, Epic has brought back all-terrain carts, other vehicles and some traps from the original Season 5 of Chapter 1. This includes assault rifles, pump shotguns, and hunting rifles. Damage Trap, Grappler, and Boogie Bomb are now vulnerable, as are the aforementioned ATKs and Shopping Carts.

    Season 6: Loot Lake Goes Dark.

    After the v27.00 update goes live on November 9, players will find that Loot Lake has gone dark, bringing with it weapons from Fortnite Chapter 1: Season 6 such as the double-barreled shotgun, clanger, and six-shooter. have come Also, the Quad Crasher, Mounted Bridge, and Chiller Trap and Port-a-Fortress return as well (note: Chiller Trap and Port-a-Fortress will not be in Zero Build mode). And finally, the driftboard makes its way to the island with this update.

    Seasons 7 and 8: Of Cold and Treasure

    Update v27.10 will feature both Chapter 1: Season 7 and Season 8 starting November 16 after it goes live. It brings with it the Snowbiome, Frosty Fulgiths, Pirate Camps, Swashbuckling Gear, and more. Weapons include the Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, and Quad Launcher. Other items include Poison Dart Trap, Itemized Glider Redeploy, and Buried Treasure (although Poison Dart Trap will not be in Zero Build). On the vehicle front, players can use the X-4 Storming, and if you’re struggling to take it down, try the Pirate Cannon which lets you launch teammates into the air.

    Season 9 and X: Blast Off!

    On November 23rd, update v27.11 will go live, and it celebrates Fortnite Chapter 1: Season 9 and Season X. Thus, weapons such as the Heavy Sniper Rifle have other loot on the island such as Proximity Grenade Launchers, Air Strikes, and Junk Rifts. Also, this update adds Storm Flip and Jetpack to the mix as well as The Baller.

    Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG Battle Pass and Item Shop

    “A time-travelling, turbo-speed OG season means the all-new OG Pass,” Epic writes in a press release. “Filled with over 50 new in-game items, you can unlock all the cosmetic rewards in the OG Pass in just four weeks. The OG Pass can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks, but you can upgrade to 1000 V-Bucks. Earn up to Bucks. In OG Pass. Fortnite Crew Subscriber? OG Pass is included as part of the Fortnite Crew subscription.”

    In the OG Item Shop, Epic says to expect a curated selection of classic, mash-up and new items. Clothing and accessories from the OG Item Shop will be available for a limited time only, and, as usual, new items will appear daily at 7pm ET.

    Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG Rankings

    As always with a new season, your rank is reset in Chapter 4: Season OG. You only need to play one ranked match to show your rank. Your performance in your first match does not determine your initial ranking, but it does show your rank and then updates your progress bar based on your performance in that particular match. Epic warns that matchmaking at higher tiers will take some time, especially if you were previously at a lower tier.

    “With Fortnite OG having a shorter season, ranking growth will be faster in the high and mid tiers,” Epic wrote in a press release. “Players will be penalized less for dropping out early in a match and their rank progression bar will increase slightly faster. Additionally, we’ve made faster progression for players at bronze rank, so Friends lined up together in ranks will see more. Continued growth.”

    When you jump from the battle bus in a ranked match, you will be given a ranked urgent quest. By completing certain amounts of Ranked Urgent Quests, you’ll unlock special in-game rewards. Just complete one Ranked Urgent Quest during Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG to unlock the Chapter 1 inspired Ranker tags back billing pictured below. This will show off your top-notch color this season.
