Overwatch 2 receives regular Battle Pass updates, which has led to some confusion regarding in-game currencies. The number of coins, tokens, points and now prisms has skyrocketed throughout the game’s life cycle, resulting in there now being six different currencies, each with a different use. So, let’s go over all the currencies in Overwtach 2.

If you’re navigating Overwatch 2 like me, you might be wondering what all the numbers mean. Don’t worry, as the entire currency system in Overwatch 2 is somewhat chaotic. Overwatch 2 has attempted to implement several changes and transitions between old and new currency systems, leaving many players confused.

From now on, there are six different types of currencies available in Overwatch 2, which are:

    Badge Aim
Supervision credits Since the prequel, Overwatch, you can use this currency to purchase cosmetics for your hero in the Hero Gallery, but only a select few items are available to purchase in the store using Overwatch Credits.
Oversight Coins This is the primary currency used to purchase the Premium Battle Pass and shop items or cosmetics for your hero through the Hero Gallery.
Overwatch League Tokens You can’t earn them for free; However, you can use real money to purchase these tokens, which can be used to unlock special cosmetics during events like the Overwatch League (RIP) esports event and others. Since these events no longer occur, these tokens currently have no use.
Legacy Competitive Points (CP) These points, carried over from the points bank earned from a previous season, could be used to purchase golden weapons to use in the game. As the name suggests, these are legacy points and cannot be purchased.
Competitive Points (CP) These are a continuation of legacy Competitive Points, which can only be earned through Competitive Modes to unlock season-specific weapons, such as Jade Weapon Skins.
mythical prisms Mythic Prisms are the latest addition to the Overwatch 2 in-game currency system, allowing players to acquire or upgrade carefully selected exclusive and rare skins during Season 10. These skins can be obtained by progressing through the Premium Battle Pass or by purchasing them with real money.
