Diablo 4 Season 2 Renown Not Transferring

Renown is easily one of the most annoying routines present in Diablo 4. From the moment you start, important rewards such as skill points dangle in front of you, forcing you to do so if you want to be at your best. With Season of Blood, all your Renown is supposed to carry over to each new season in the future. However, many in the community report that this is not the case. Instead, it seems like Season of Blood starts with nothing at all. Fortunately, there is a very simple solution to this problem, which is not really a problem. Listen to me.

How to fix renown progress in Diablo 4 Season 2

When opening Season of Blood, your renown bar appears completely empty. Not good. This gives the impression that none of Renown’s hard-won progress has been preserved. However, it is actually more or less the opposite.

Renown, as a resource to keep track of, is no longer preserved. This is because Blizzard has decided to transfer only the rewards you have earned in the progression path. If you check your total amount of skill points, you will see that this is the case. All Renown rewards you have earned will carry over to each Season in the future. Renown, as a progression mechanic, is no longer something you need to worry about. Renown exists in its original form only for those who have not yet finished the work.

That said, if you’re starting Season 2, rest assured that you have all the Renown rewards you’ve earned. There is no solution because the system works as intended. However, I wish Blizzard had made this evident in the game. I had to think twice when I first loaded up Season 2.
