If you’re like me, you’ve probably logged into Diablo 4 for the first time in a while because of the new season. You’ve probably also noticed right away that none of your promised progress was transferred to the Season server for Season of Fiendish. No Renown. No Lilith statues. No reference points. What a bummer, right? Well, it turns out that there is a solution for this problem, which is actually not a problem at all. Although unstable, here’s how to make sure your progress transfers correctly.
How to Transfer Progress to Seasonal Server in Diablo 4 (Solution)
Therefore, Blizzard stated that in order to transfer your overworld progress (some Renown, Waypoints, Lilith Statues), you must first log into the preseason character with the most progress made. Why this had to be done instead of just fixing the problem normally, I have no idea. Anyway, I did what they said. I logged into my main, a Rogue in T4, and then created my season character. This did not work as expected for me.

Fortunately, what fixed the problem for me was log into a second character, one of my preseason alt characters, and then log back into the season one. Why this worked I have no idea. What is important is that my progress was successfully maintained, and now I am able to play the season with some of my hard work to show for it.
Now, what happens if your progress doesn’t stick and you don’t have a preseason alternative, or if your character was killed in Hardcore mode before the start of Season 1? My recommendation to you is to put a ticket in blizzard support, explaining the problem to them in details that they cannot ignore. I wish I could give you more information on that, but Blizzard’s ways are a mystery to all of us.
