Rogues are the main damage dealers in Diablo 4, so it makes sense that many players would approach them in Season 1. There are many viable ways to play a Rogue late-game, so it’s hard to pick the best setup.
What is the best version of Diablo 4 Season 1 Rogue?
While there are plenty of strong Rogue builds out there, we’ll give the fan-favorite Twisting Blades a slight edge. This is a very strong and mobile build, making it a fun style to play. Obviously, Twisting Blades is the main damage dealer, but you’ll be using moves like Dash and Shadow Step to move from place to place quickly.

This build can clear packs with ease, and that’s a big part of why so many people have been using it to farm dungeons. There’s a bit more to the gameplay, but that’s enough to get you started.
Diablo 4 season 1 rogue build
We already know the basics of building, but let’s fill in with the rest of the skills. You’ll need an ability to help you gain energy, and that’s where Puncture comes into play. You can also make enemies vulnerable, making it powerful in its own right.
- rotating blades
- Puncture
- Dash
- step shadow
- shadow imbue
Shadow Imbuement is best used with Consuming Shadows as it will give you 10 energy each time you kill an enemy. The latter is largely up to you, but you can go for Cold Imbue or Poison Imbue. This is a perfect build to spec once you complete your Rogue leveling build.
