Guide to lockpicks
You either have to be a rogue and be equipped with the lockpicking perk, or just like any other class.
You need to get a lockpick which is a randomly found item in dungeons (and is relatively rare).
Once you find the item you need to place it on the utility slot and then you can lock any locked door/chest.
Keep in mind when you pick a lock there will be an immediate skill check and if you succeed the item will open, however if you fail you will not unlock the door/chest. Keep in mind that once you use a lockpick, it will be used.
