Coxeta, a rhythm game to be released in 2020 for mobile, was showcased at Play4X. And like many of the games featured at the conference, it’s one we’ve sadly overlooked until now. But with the game being shown off in its entirety, we get a chance to see what this underrated game is really all about.
If you’ve played games like Beatstar, this type of format will be very familiar – although rhythm game purists will more closely recognize the type of gameplay that Coxeta offers. For example, you have fast-paced gameplay, and a story too!
Yes, that’s right, a rhythm game with a story. So if you’re for whatever reason frustrated by the lack of depth in something like Beatstars, you can now engage with a whole host of characters as you make your way through Coxeta.
Move to the rhythm.
Despite being released in 2020, Coxeta has received around 180,000 downloads from Google Play in the regions it has released in alone. Like many of the games showcased at Play4X, it has yet to see a global release, only being available in the Southeast, and one of the stated reasons is that the team at the Rhythmical Conference is considering releasing in other regions. .
So can Coxeta get a proper global release? Here’s hoping – we think this is just one of the many great games we’ve seen from the Play4X conference, and it looks like it’s worth playing.
