In Marvel Snap, the Discard archetype is all about playing your odds of which cards will be discarded and trying to manipulate those odds in your favor. This is especially the case with Hela decks, which seek to discard all of her high-cost cards except for Hela herself. This can be tricky business, as many games come down to flipping a coin over whether or not Hela dodges a discard trigger. However, while the deck sometimes has issues with its consistency, in the games in which Hela survives to reach her sixth birthday, the deck can swing almost any game in her favor.

According to Meta breakdown and deck tier list from marvelsnapzone.com, this Hela deck is the Hela deck with the highest win rate and a tier four deck. The deck features a high curve, as is the case with many Hela decks, and with no card under three energy, it can fight off aggressive matchups.
The strength of the deck lies in throwing Marvel Snap’s Zabu card on turn three and playing an explosive turn four with two four-cost cards. The best follow-up to him after Zabu will depend entirely on the state of his hand, but Jubilee in Sandman it’s an incredibly strong playline that shuts down opposing Zabu decks as well as the current terror meta in Silver Surfer.
At first, it may seem strange to include a card that cannot be played as Death on this list, but Death serves as Lady Sif’s best target in the deck due to her cost of nine Energy. This allows Lady Sif to be played even when Hela is in the hand, as Lady Sif will aim for the kill over all other cards.
captain marvel he’s another unique option here, but his strength lies in his game-stealing ability by moving to a winning spot on the board. Hela suffers because her own ability is random and potentially puts the cards she summons in the wrong position. Captain Marvel can remedy this by throwing herself into a spot, which could mitigate Hela’s gameplay bugs.
Sandman is by far the most obvious choice in the deck, as Sandman is usually a very weak card, but it currently kills two of the main archetypes in the meta: Zabu and Silver Surfer. Both archetypes love to play multiple cards in one turn, even regularly playing three cards on turn six. However, Sandman stops both strategies dead in their tracks.
