    • We handed Hajjaj over to our app Army.
    • Our readers loved the game’s art style.
    • Creativity was also appreciated at the exhibition.

Pilgrims is an adventure game first launched on Apple Arcade. Now that the subscription service is off, you can pick it up for iOS or Android, which means more people can experience what our reviewer Jack Brassell called a quirky adventure game. To celebrate the no-nonsense, we turned the game over to our App Army community to see what they’ve made of Pilgrims.

    Here is what he said:

It is a unique and creative art style. Great gameplay with beautiful hand-drawn graphics. Short game. The game definitely reminds me of games like Machinarium and Samorest. The puzzles are a bit difficult. The only negative thing about this game is that it is short.

Pilgrims is a highly engaging adventure-style puzzle game brought to the Apple Arcade for all to enjoy with its exclusivity. Amanita Design has always had a very unique and distinct art style for their games, and I’m happy to say that Pilgrims follows suit. It is a real pleasure to be taken in beautiful surroundings with all their small and wonderful details. From the smokestacks atop the alien houses to the flowing waterways, everything is so lovingly done that it feels like a museum painting brought to life.

The quirky yet distinct sound effects that each character creates, along with the whimsical music of the Pilgrims (created using original instruments), pair perfectly. The gameplay is rather open in that you make your own way, and with some trial and error, you explore the world around you at your leisure to find the various items you come across along the way. All of these questions add up to a compelling, almost personal adventure that begs to be played again and again.

This is an unusual game that is a mixture of puzzle and card game. The game starts when you want to travel in a boat and the owner of the boat wants a bird as payment. Easy – right? wrong. It begins a journey around the map, performing actions using cards and various characters waiting along the way. The graphics are hand-drawn and whimsical, and the characters interact in a quirky way, which is where the cards you collect are used to interact and complete tasks. I found this a cleverly made game – just enough variety to make it interesting.

I missed it during its Apple Arcade era so was happy to have a look. There’s a lot to like with the fun art style, enjoyable music and quirky characters. The easy and efficient pacing and non-linear progression (so far it hasn’t directed me to a specific location other than to find water in an obvious spot) encourages you to explore. And you’ll find plenty to enjoy as you do. Depending on your choices (as you collect items through cards, there are different ways to go about accomplishing different tasks), you can achieve different outcomes, making the game highly replayable. A degree can be obtained. So I say play. Try the free version and stay tuned. Definition

What a great gem of a game. I never got around to playing Pilgrims when I was at Apple Arcade. I am pleasantly surprised by this. Fairly simple mechanics – touch the screen to explore different areas of the map and then you can interact with different people in the area. You build a deck of cards for the people you meet and the items you collect. You then need to find out which person needs what and then you barter. You are encouraged to explore and experiment, it just takes up your time. You can see how different objects affect different interactions. Easy stress free game to recommend to almost anyone.

Pilgrim is a very fun and simple game. Its mechanics consist of solving some puzzles with the right items for each scene, you need to be aware of the clues that each character or scenario offers you and thus understand the solution. The game is very good with very well reproduced graphics, animations and audio. Its gameplay is very simple and it works very well. Pilgrim is a game that will challenge and entertain you at the right moment and the more you want to solve the game’s problems. I really liked it and it is definitely worth your purchase.

Hajjaj is a charming graphic adventure. You have to find a bird to please the boat owner who will take you down the river. Of course, this will not be an easy task and you will have to solve puzzles for other characters to get the bird. Gameplay consists of moving around the map, some locations will expand on a separate screen. Picked up items and characters will be displayed as cards at the bottom of the screen.

This is a short game and easy to complete. However, some puzzles can be solved in multiple ways and the game rewards multiple playthroughs. The music and graphics are well done. It’s a fun game and it lives on my phone.

Do you love Samorost, Machinarium or Botanicole? Then skip this review and play Pilgrims. It’s just as charming, quirky and playful as Amanita Design’s previous games, and you’ll love it too.
Pilgrims is a funny, weird and wordless adventure game where you need to catch the Bird of Happiness so that Charon will take you down the river. To do this, you need to enlist the help of various pilgrims such as farmers, hunters or demons, and finally battle (or not) the dragon.

Tap the map to move your characters there, tap any item to interact with it or pick it up (it becomes a card in your stack), and any character or item to interact with. Tap on the card. In this classic Eastern-European cartoony style, the art and animation are brilliant and quirky, the puzzles are easy, the solutions are mostly natural (tip for the weirdest: make the leprechaun use two different items for his amusement). Both characters will be needed) and it’s delightfully creative.

It’s fun, funny and unfortunately over too soon – but that’s kind of because the ending shows that you have to play it multiple times to unlock all the encounter cards by finding the multiple solutions available to each puzzle. have to play Failure is humorous rather than frustrating, which relieves the slight boredom of repetition. Overall, a great adventure game that is perfect for phones and tablets.

Pilgrims is a fun/comedy story adventure game where you have a deck of cards that grows as you explore each location whether you’re making new friends or finding objects around the environment. taking The game has great gameplay with great soundtrack and beautiful visuals. Beating the game is easy but that’s not the point, the goal is to explore and play the game differently each time and try to unlock all the scenarios. I put a few hours into my first playthrough and found it fun, addicting and creative.

Pilgrims is a graphic adventure game that offers a unique and captivating experience that combines exploration, puzzle solving and a captivating visual style. In Pilgrims, players embark on a journey as a pilgrim, interacting with a variety of quirky characters and solving puzzles to progress through the game. The game’s mechanics revolve around collecting and using cards, each representing a different character or object, to overcome obstacles and influence the game world.

One of the distinguishing features of Pilgrims is its distinct art style. The hand-drawn visuals are whimsical and full of personality, creating a visually appealing world for players to explore. The game also has a lighthearted and humorous tone, with clever interactions and unexpected outcomes adding to the overall charm.

The puzzles in Pilgrims are inventive and often require experimentation and creative thinking. The game encourages players to try different combinations of cards and find different paths to find solutions. This open-ended approach adds a sense of exploration and discovery to the gameplay.

Another aspect that stands out in Pilgrims is its replayability. The game offers multiple paths and outcomes, depending on the cards chosen and used. This encourages players to replay the game, experiment with different strategies and explore new possibilities.
