    • Amiken Survival: The Anime RPG is hitting the storefront for Android and now iOS.
    • Pre-register for this Palworld-alike on your platform of choice.
    • But can Helio Games’ back catalog give us an idea of what to expect?

Amikin Survival: Anime RPG is now available for pre-registration on the iOS App Store. A survival crafting game with a collection of creatures, much like the recently destroyed Palworld, Amiken Survival: Anime RPG comes from Helio Games, the studio behind Uprising: Pirate Survival and Wasteland Survival.

We wrote about Amikin Survival a few weeks ago and noted the studio’s previous output. Oddly enough, their games have consistently received favorable reviews while criticizing overtly popular concepts (Pirates and Cowboys have gotten a boost from major releases in recent years) and are fairly consistent in quality. have

But whether Amikin Survival: Anime RPG will offer a similar experience, and garner the same appreciation from players, will depend on how well they can improve upon previous games while the likes of Paulworld Introduces creature collection and crafting elements.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

It seems like we’re being a little hard on Helio Games, but in fairness, the studio doesn’t produce simple assets. Instead, these games seem to follow the same formula, with a fresh coat of paint and a new setting in each iteration. Each is a top-down survival game with base building, resource gathering and PvE combat. Studios that can consistently deliver such decent games in new locations aren’t all that common, but because of that ability, they can struggle to stand out.

Still, it looks like Amican Survival is set to hit both major platforms, so we’ll have a chance to see if the studio lives up to the hype when it arrives on May 16.

Meanwhile, if you want to see what else is around the corner why not check out our list of the most anticipated games of the year? Indie hits, breakthrough releases and hidden gems are just around the corner this year.
