This year’s Halloween update is now available for Fortnite, introducing a new game mode known as Horde Rush to the popular Battle Royale title. The game developers also added a variety of new quests for this new experience as part of the latest Fortnitemares update. As is tradition, players can complete these quests and unlock shiny cosmetic items without spending a dime. So, here’s a look at all the Horde Rush missions in Fortnite, along with instructions for completing them.
All Horde Rush missions and rewards in Fortnite
Players can complete the following quests while playing Horde Rush during the Fortnitemares 2023 event:
- Earn a KO Streak x40 (1) – 25,000 XP
- Deal melee damage to Cube Monster spawners (6000) – 25,000 XP
- Upgrade weapons at an upgrade bench in Horde Rush (5) – 25,000 XP
- Help collect score multipliers (5) – 25,000 XP
- Help open chests in Horde Rush (75) – 25,000 XP
- Help defeat the Boss in the final stage of Horde Rush (1) – 25,000 XP
- Headshot Cube Monsters from at least 15 meters away (100) – 25,000 XP
- Eliminate Cube Monsters using explosives (200) – 25,000 XP
- Accumulate team points (1,000,000) – 25,000 XP
In addition to the XP mentioned above, players can obtain these cosmetic items by completing certain challenges:
- Complete 1 Horde Rush mission to earn the Dark wrap.
- Complete 4 Horde Rush missions to win the Heart or lantern emoticon.
- Complete 7 Horde Rush missions to win the Bat Wing Bone Thorn Spike.

How to complete Horde Rush missions in Fortnite
At the time of writing, Horde Rush mode appears to be unavailable in Fortnite. Epic Games has also recognized this problem on Twitter (X) and stated that they are investigating why the Horde Rush playlist is not yet available and will provide an update when it appears.
