Armor Trims are customization options for Armor, adding 16 different styles to the armor. Each of these ornaments are found in different locations, so I’ll show you where to find each armor ornament in Minecraft.
How to Get Armor Ornaments in Minecraft – All Armor Ornament Locations
Armor ornaments are found inside chests in specific dangerous locations in Minecraft. The chests will contain something called blacksmith template, which is used to apply a specific armor setting. Some Armor Trims will require several steps to find, while others will only require you to find the structure they reside on.
In this guide, I’ll tell you where to find all 18 Armor Ornament Smithing Templates, including the ones found in the Tricky Trials update, and how you can get them yourself.
Bolt Armature Adjustment
Bolt Armor Trim is the first of two new Armor Trims in the Tricky Trials update. Your armor adjustment template is located deep underground in the new Trial Chambers. The first way to get it is by finding it in one of the many reward chests scattered around the Test Chamber. The second way to obtain it is by facing a Trial Generator, defeating it, and using the Trial Key to open a vault containing the Bolt Armor Trim blacksmithing template.
Coastal Armor Tuning
As the name implies, the Coast Armor Trim can be found at Shipwrecks. They are one of the most common ocean structures in Minecraft and give players plenty of opportunities to get their first armor fitting. The Coast Armor Trim can be found in any of the three potential chests that Shipwrecks can spawn with.
Dune Armor Tuning
As with Coast Armor Trim, the name of this template indicates where it is located. Dune Armor Tuning Templates can only be found in the chests at the bottom of desert temples. If you haven’t explored one of these temples before, you must dig through the ground carefully to reach the chests. Players who are not cautious enough will fall through the ground and trigger the TNT trap near the treasure.
Eye armor adjustment
Eye Armor Trim is one of our favorites, but if you play Minecraft the conventional way, you’ll be a while away until you find this one. This blacksmithing template is found at Strengths, probably in the Library or in the chests of the Altar. I recommend using Eyes of Ender to find a Fortress and then search for the End Portal and this template at the same time.
Flow armature adjustment
Flow Armor Trim is the second Armor Trim added to Minecraft 1.21. It is much more difficult to obtain than Bolt Armor Trim because it requires players to obtain the Bad Omen effect and face a sinister trial. After obtaining an Ominous Trial Key, players can obtain the Flux Armor Fit in the next Ominous Vault they open. It’s not guaranteed, but as you continue to perform more sinister tests, you will eventually find this template.
Host Armor Adjustment
The host armor trim template is one of several only found on Trail Ruins structures. Players must brush the suspicious gravel discovered in these ruins to unearth this blacksmithing template. It has about an 8% chance of being found on a suspicious gravel block.
Lifting truss adjustment
The Raiser Armor Trim is another archeology-based Armor Trim only found in trail ruins. Has an 8.3% chance to appear after brushing Suspicious Gravel. If you’re looking to put together a set of armor ornaments quickly, getting the Raiser and other armor ornaments from Trail Ruins is a great route to take.
Rib armor trim
In the abyss, Lower fortresses They are one of the most dangerous places. Unfortunately, these fortresses are also home to the elusive Rib Armor Trim blacksmithing template. It is one of the most dangerous places where Armor Trims can be found, so you will have to be very careful. Carefully search a chest in the Abyssal Fortress for the template and make a hasty retreat once you have found it.
Sentinel Armor Tuning
The Sentry armor ornament blacksmithing template can be found at Raider Outposts. You’ll have to fight your way through waves of raiders to check the chest at the top of the outpost to find this blacksmithing template. Since there is only one chest in each Pillager Outpost, this is one of the hardest templates to find.
Silent Armature Adjustment
The Silence Armor Trim blacksmithing template is one of the many treasures found within Ancient cities. They can be found in any of the chests scattered around the city. Just be careful not to wake the Guardian while you hide.
Shaping armor fit
The Shaper Armor Trim is the third of the four major archeology-based Armor Trims. It is only found inside Trails Ruins structures. Like the other versions, it has an 8.3% chance of being removed from Suspicious Gravel.
Muzzle Armor Ornament
Muzzle Armor Fitting Smithing Templates, which spawn in perhaps the most dangerous location in the Underworld, appear in Remains of the bastion. They are most common in the Hoglin Stable variant of Bastion Remnant chests. While searching for this one, stop by an Abyssal Fortress to get the Armor Edging Blacksmithing Template.
Needle Armor Ornament
Perhaps one of the last armor ornaments you will find is the Spire armor ornament, found in chests in Final cities. Some claim that they are more likely to spawn aboard ships (and near the elytra), but we cannot confirm this. Decorate your armor with it to celebrate your victory against the Ender Dragon!
Tidal Armor Adjustment
The Tide Armor Trim is a rare drop from Senior Guardians. They only have a 20% chance to drop this blacksmithing template, so you’ll likely need to kill at least 5 to get it. To do so, you will have to continually fight these strong mobs or work hard to build a Guardian Farm. While this may be difficult to achieve, the beauty of this Armor Trim is worth it!
Vex Armor Tuning
The Vex Armor Trim is incredibly rare because it is found on one of the rarest structures in the Overworld. To achieve this, you will need to find a forest mansion. Eliminate the monsters residing in the Mansion while opening all of their chests in hopes of finding this rare reward.
Sentinel Armor Tuning
Ward Armor is another hard-to-obtain armor upgrade that is only found in chests in the Old City. You will have to dodge the Guardian to find this Guardian Armor Fitting Smithing Template in one of the many chests. If luck is on your side, you will find it and Silence Armor Trim will be in the same city.
Wayfinder Armor Tuning
The Wayfinder armor setting is the final armor setting that can only be found using Archeology. You will have to brush off Suspicious Gravel trail ruin structures to discover it. It’s a rare drop, so stay alert!
Wild Armor Ornament
The Wild Armor Trim is the last one on our list and can be found at jungle temples. It is a harder armor setting to find due to the rarity of jungle temples. When you manage to find one, be sure to keep an eye out for their traps as you search the chests for this template.
