The Trading Post is a brand new feature that will be added in the next WoW Dragonflight patch update that focuses on the importance of cosmetics within the game. WoW Dragonflight – Detailed Trading Post
The Trading Post is designed to provide players with an additional way to obtain new cosmetics, mounts, and even pets to collect. Being installed in major cities such as Orgrimmar and Stormwind, the trading post is easily accessible, but to buy anything from the new vendors, you will need a special currency called Trader’s Tinder. Trader’s Tinder is obtained in a number of ways, none of which involve microtransactions of any kind (thankfully):
- Automatically per month – Accounts in good standing will receive 500 Trader’s Tinder simply by logging in and going to Trader’s Post
- Complete the activities in the Traveler’s Journal – When Trader’s Post launches, players will have access to the Traveler’s Log, a sort of objective checklist. Each completed objective grants a specific amount of Trader’s Tinder.

As mentioned, Trader’s Tinder is a game currency. There is no way to buy it with RMT (Real Money Transactions). This means that Trader’s Post is a boon for active WoW players who love to collect cosmetics. What’s even better is that many of the cosmetics available in the Trading Post will be brand new, never seen before. Another thing to keep in mind is that cosmetics sold through the Trading Post will sell out for new ones every month. A monthly cycle means there is an element of FOMO, but at least you can’t buy every available cosmetic. If you’re looking to collect more cosmetics, Trading Post seems like a great way to go.
