Hades 2 is the long-awaited sequel to a beloved roguelike action RPG and I couldn’t be happier that it’s finally here. With the game available on PC, many are wondering if Hades 2 Early Access will come to Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Will Hades 2 Early Access come to all platforms?
Unfortunately, Early Access for Hades 2 is only available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and it looks like it will remain that way until the game fully launches with version 1.0. So for anyone who doesn’t have a PC and a Steam or Epic account, you’ll have to wait a little longer until you can enjoy Melinoe’s trials and tribulations as she makes her way through the Underworld. (Which is unfortunate considering the surprising first impressions Hades 2 is making even with an incomplete story.)

When will Hades 2 v.1.0 be released?
According to Supergiant Games, Hades 2 will be in early access all year long, with a major update coming in late 2024. So, the exact release date of Hades 2 v1.0. It is unknown at the moment, but should be expected in early 2025 at the earliest.
It all depends on how satisfied the developers are with the game and its progress. I’m already having a lot of fun, so I’m hoping for a full release sooner. Some updates they are working on include:
- An expansion of the story that is available in early access.
- A new region with new friends, enemies and other surprises (I can’t wait to find out what exactly it is).
- Cosmetic updates for Crossroads.
- A new main weapon, etc.
Keep in mind that we may not get all of this in the big update coming later in the year. Some features may not be available with the full release. Whatever the case, I’m excited to get my hands on a Hades game again and look forward to new additions when they arrive.
