The day before DevFantastic is closing just a few days after the start of Early Access.

    Fntastic, the studio behind The Day Before, is shutting down. It announced the closure today with a Statement That comes just four days before the December 7th launch day in Early Access.

    The studio says that The Day Before’s servers will remain operational, but it also says that the future of the game (and its 2021 release, Propnight) is unknown at this time. Fntastic opened in 2015 – its first game was The Wild Eight, which was released in 2017.

    Here’s Fntastic’s statement in its entirety::

    “Today, we announce the closure of Fntastic Studios. Unfortunately, The Day Before has failed financially, and we lack the funds to continue. All proceeds are owed to our partners. Being used to pay. We put all our effort, resources, and hours into development days ago, our first big game.

    “It’s important to note that we didn’t take any money from the public during the first day of development; there were no pre-orders or crowdfunding campaigns. We worked tirelessly, pouring our blood, sweat and tears for five years. The game. At this time, the future of The Day Before and Propnight is unknown, but the servers will remain active. We apologize if we did not meet your expectations. We did everything in our power, but unfortunately , we underestimated our capabilities. Making games is an incredibly challenging endeavor.”

    Last week, the day before it launched in Early Access on December 7th. As reported. Strangely, Fntastic has since deleted his entire YouTube channel, leaving the following note as his channel description: “We are grateful to everyone who has supported us through these difficult years. . It’s been a wonderful journey over the last eight years.”
