Hydrapple is one of the slower Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokédex, so if you want to make sure it survives most competitive battles, you’ll want to top it up. The best way to do this is to increase your Defense or Sp. Defense. I would build mine Bold, just because Hydrapple’s defense is already high, and pit it against physical attackers like Salamence. But Calm gives you a more balanced overall defense.

Nature doesn’t matter much unless you’re going to play PvP… or harder competitive battles like Blueberry Academy. Nature dictates which stat gets a 10% increase in growth rate and which gets a 10% decrease in return. There are also natures that do not boost or stunt any stats, such as Hardy and Docile.
