Sea of Stars has a closed-up period official. This game will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch during summer of 2023. At the time of the announcement, a video message was received from Yasunori Mitsuda.
The legendary composer of classics like the Chrono Trigger and Xenogears formalized his work with Sabotage and started the game, a task that he accepted as a big fan of their previous projects, The Messenger.
I can’t believe they approached me to work with them on building Sea of Stars, said Mitsuda. I was able to create the music as a character of mine. In addition, I shook up with the guitar in my own style, and shared my ideas with Eric, the principal composer. Our goal is to create the game in a cohesive way.
This time one of the themes of the music will be having a Super Nintendo style sound, so I had to resamp the audio to capture that vintage style. Sea of Stars is still quite distant but I hope you’re eagerly waiting for it.
