Minimum and Recommended Specs for PC

Baldur’s Gate 3 is right around the corner, and luckily there are minimum and recommended system requirements available on PC, so you can make sure you can run the game before release.

Very impressed with the series. Dungeons and Dragons, there will be a lot left to chance during a playthrough and the possibilities are endless. One thing you don’t want to leave to chance is whether or not it will run, so here are the minimum and recommended specs for PC and Mac.

We’ll outline the same, but for Mac, because if you’re using Apple hardware you’re probably wondering what you’ll need.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
• OS: Windows 10 64 bit
• Processor: Intel I5 4690 / AMD FX 8350
• Note: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970 / RX 480 (4 GB+ of VRAM)
• DirectX: Version 11
• Storage: 150 GB available space
• Additional Notes: SSD required.

Recommended Requirements:

• Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
• OS: Windows 10 64 bit
• Processor: Intel i7 8700K / AMD r5 3600
• Note: 16 GB RAM
• Graphics: Nvidia 2060 Super / RX 5700 XT (8 GB+ VRAM)
• DirectX: Version 11
• Storage: 150 GB available space
• Additional Notes: SSD required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
• OS: macOS 10.15.6
• The processor: 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
• memory: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: AMD Radeon460 4 GB
• Storage: 150 GB available space
• Additional notices: Minimum specs can run the game on low to medium settings. To meet the minimum specs, you’ll need a 2016 or newer MacBook Pro 15-inch, with the GPU described above. Or, a MacBook Pro 13-inch 2018 or newer. M1 chip requirements: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini with an Apple M1 chip and 8 GB of RAM. SSD recommended.

Recommended Requirements:

• Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
• OS: macOS 10.15.7
• The processor: 2.3GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
• memory: 16 GB RAM
• Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
• Storage: 150 GB available space
• Additional notices: Recommended specs can run the game on high or ultra settings. If you have a MacBook Pro 15-inch or 16-inch from 2019 and up with the GPU described above, you’ll meet the recommended specifications. An iMac from 2017 or newer will also turn it off. M1 Chip Requirements: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini with an Apple M1 chip and 16 GB of RAM. SSD recommended.
