    Acquisition of the outpost

To start earning a checkpoint you must go to your harem table. Once there we’re going to open it up like you’re going to raid, but this is where it gets tricky! Instead of raiding the click build at the top, then press r to claim the new site!

You will then be given 8 burial sites, each with different stats.

    • size
    • Ability
    • Costs
    • Kind of
    • production

    size

This is the size of the site, it is located to the right of the name.

    Ability

This is the amount of placeables available to use, located just below the name. Remember that each qualified space has a different price depending on capacity!

    Costs

Located just below the center of the site will be how much Synthite costs to claim the site.

    Kind of

Located to the left of the cost you can find type, yet only desert.

    production

You can see the production just below the cost or located just below the site. It tells you how much Genmat (experience) you get, and who it goes to.

Once you’ve chosen it’s time to move on to the next level!

    Cleaning service

Now that you’ve claimed your site it’s time to clean it up!

Find your site under the Build tab and get going!

After you arrive, some equipment will be pre-made. So let’s get rid of all that gunk the easy way! Open your build menu and at the bottom you’ll see a strip checkpoint, do that and you’ll have cleared all the guns!

This will give you more capacity to use for the things you really want!

    Before

    after the

Congratulations, you have successfully cleaned the gun! You can go to the next level.

    Land planning

Now that you’ve successfully gotten rid of that junk, you can move on to planning your outpost layout!

You can do this in several ways, whether you want to build like a printer, build the interior first, or the exterior first is really up to you! Just remember things are easier if they are planned or have a path or inspiration for them. One thing you should think about is adding Forsaken Tombs as side objectives to your build!! But wait, you might be wondering what a Turkic grave even is! Sounds like some Mayan BS made up! Fear not, because I will save you from that thought. Abandoned tombs are secondary purposes at all burial sites so the burial part, now that’s some foreshadowing!

Depending on the size, each burial site can contain up to 3 Turkish graves.

Now you might be thinking to yourself that if they are side goals, should I stop them? Now whether you do it or not is up to you but I wouldn’t recommend it. If an attacker gets them, not only do you lose nothing, but they can create a lot of distractions and opportunities to get some kills, not to mention any placed in Harvey’s path. Traps will count less in the map’s difficulty score! So take advantage of the greed of the raiders and punish them!

Now that you’ve planned the layout, it’s time to move on again!

    The Trap Artist

Now this is where the fun comes in, this is when you plan your sinister creations and prepare some kills!!

Here is a table with all block/trap/guard costs.

    Name Kind of Costs
    Decoration Misc 0
    Basic blocks Misc 1
    The Hollow Cube Traps 10
    Corrosive Cube Traps 15
    Impaler Traps 30
    Iron Claw Traps 30
    Plasma Sentinel Traps 50
    Bolt shot Traps 50
    Death piston Traps 50
    Bomb disposal Traps 50
    Burner Traps 50
    The enforcer Guards 50
    Warrior Guards 50
    Burner Traps 70
    Canon Beck Guards 70
    Hornet Guards 70

    Trap him

I’m really just going to put the general stuff here because I don’t have much to do other than being creative and planning well. Usually you want to set up traps that are a distraction for others to snag the kill because usually having 1 trap by itself won’t do the trick, but remember to always throw that red herring trap. It is better to keep what is itself. The attacker is always on edge.

Gotta trap her on the dance floor? Good! Now we can proceed.

    Testing time

Are you stuck? Good! Now we test to make sure everything works as we want!

This is where you’ll want to go through your checkpoint, seeing how and when all the traps activate. This is the part where your trap placements can fail, and fail again. But keep calm, and get stuck in!

Now that we’ve checked, it’s time to move on to the final step!

    The spice of life

When everything else is done, dusted, and maybe swept under the rug, it’s time to add that spice!

This is where we finish, we build the exterior, add decals, throw in the raiders with jokes, the whole nine yards.

    Whether you make it simple.

    Whether you make it beautiful.

Whether you make a straight line.

Or you want to build not at all.

It’s really up to you, and your imagination!

    After

This is the result of hard work on your checkpoints!

    Here’s the juicy part!

When your checkpoints are marked with skulls, that means you’ve been killed! Go ahead, collect their drops, and drown in their sorrow! Oh the tears!!!

    Waqar

Oh no! Your outpost is out of Genmat? do not be afraid!

If your outpost has killed enough guards or earned enough accolades, you can build their prestige! To Prestige your outpost you will need to enter it, open the main menu and click Prestige. Here it will show the statistics of all checkpoints including kill count, compliments, how many prestige points you have, and how much it will cost you to prestige the checkpoint.

I recommend waiting until your outpost runs out of resources for Prestige as each outpost has a limited amount of Prestige.
