Despite the praise and anticipation, many players are unhappy with Lords of the Fallen due to constant crashes on Steam. Lords of the Fallen was released on October 13, 2023 to mostly negative reviews on Steam. However, most reviews are pretty specific about the issue, and it’s not related to the game, but rather massive crash reports on Steam.
Lords of the Fallen’s main glitch on PC explained
The negative reviews for Lords of the Fallen are due to crashing issues, as well as stuttering, FPS, and performance issues. Lords of the Fallen has high specifications and requirements, and many players are feeling the price of this. Many players report crashes in the menu and while playing, making the game almost unplayable for some and causing numerous headaches in the process.

Players are discovering ways to prevent crash issues and reduce the impact on performance. Most revolve around turning down graphical settings, specifically Reflections and Global Illumination. However, numerous players continue to encounter issues with Steam for Lords of the Fallen despite lowering the graphics and trying other solutions. As a result, it is difficult to pinpoint where the problem is and what solutions exist for it.
Hexworks issued a statement notifying Xbox players to expect issues while waiting for a patch, but made no mention of potential issues for PC players on Steam. We’ll have to wait and see if Hexworks fixes the issue with a patch, but Lords of the Fallen got mixed reviews on Steam, so it’s possible the community is resolving the issue on its own.
