The Dawning has returned to Destiny 2 and brought Eva Levante and her Holiday Oven. Veteran players should be familiar with this wonderful device, as it allows them to bake all kinds of sweets for their favorite NPCs. Here’s how to use it.
As in previous years, players will need to track down ingredients for various enemies, activities, and locations. It is a fun activity that passively rewards the player for completing their daily and weekly activities.
Where to find the Dawning 2023 Christmas Oven in Destiny 2
For unknown reasons, the Destiny 2 development team moved Eve’s Christmas Oven from the Inventory to the Missions tab.
- open the director
- Go to Missions
- Select the second row from the top in the left column (Quests)
- Search for Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1 and view its details

Once you have accessed the menu for the first time and baked the Gjallardoodles for Zavala as part of the quest, you will be able to access the rest of the oven’s functions. The biggest is the Masterworked Holiday Oven, which reduces the amount of Essence of Dawning needed for all recipes.
For those experiencing the Dawn for the first time, Masterworking the Holiday Oven is pretty straightforward. Simply bake each of the available recipes. From then on, you will only need 10 Essences of Dawn instead of 15, which will make future baking much easier. Each recipe appears in the oven and will be highlighted if you have the materials needed to prepare it.
