If you are a fan of chaotic potion-making experience crazy wizards, you’ve likely noticed the lack of updates recently and wondered what happened to the old update schedule. What started out as Wacky Wednesdays, then became Wacky Weekends, then back to Wacky Wednesdays, is now Wacky…never? Please continue reading below for a brief breakdown of the Wacky Wizards update timeline, and for more information on the future of the experience.
When is Wacky Wizards updated?
As mentioned above, the Wacky Wizards update schedule has changed several times since its release in 2021. Originally, updates were released every Wednesday at 4pm CT—then, they were pushed to each Wednesday at 5pm CT and it stayed that way for several months. After a while, Wacky Wednesdays were changes to Wacky Weekends, and the updates were scheduled to debut on friday/saturday instead of Wednesdays. However, due to the large amount of backlash from the community, this change was quickly reverted and updates went back to happening on Wednesdays.
But, before fans could rejoice at this return to normality, it was also announced that while the updates would return to Wednesdays, they would be reduced to once every two weeks instead of once a week because the developers, Foryxe and Jandel, needed more time to work on other experiences. This announcement and change, as expected, did not go down well with fans, and by Fall 2022, updates have reverted entirely to their original schedule: once a week, every Wednesday.

That’s until the October 26, 2022, the update was released, which added the final Halloween-themed ingredient, Evil Head. After this update, and a little announcement via Discord In which Jandel declared that the Halloween map would be reverted in mid-November, Wacky Wizards went silent on the radio: no more updates, no more announcements, no more nothing. The experience remained seemingly abandoned for two months, until, in January 2023, it was announced that Wacky Races, an experience only accessible through Wacky Wizards, would be featured in Roblox Battles Season 3. However, even with This collaboration, the parental experience remained intact and consequently unpopular.
At the time of this article’s publication, no news about a future Wacky Wizards update has been discussed. If we had to guess, Wacky Wizards will, unfortunately, join the pile of experiences that have become irrelevant as its developers continue to push for bigger and “better” experiences.
