When playing The Sims 4, you’ve got quite a few cheats at your disposal. This includes cheats that are made specifically for packs, like the cheats you can use with the Growing Together pack. But what about the Horse Ranch expansion pack? It has its own unique cheats, too! Here’s what they are and how to use them.
All Cheats in Sims 4 Horse Ranch
There are six different cheats that I could find for Horse Ranch. Most have to deal with your horses and their skills, but there are a couple reserved for Sims and their ranching activities. Maxing out skills will quickly make you a master rancher in no time!

How do you find a Horse ID number in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch?
Since all of the horse skill cheats in The Sims 4 require knowing your horse’s ID number, it’s helpful to know how to do this. First, type Ctrl+Shift+C and then testingcheats true to activate cheat codes. From there:
- Use the cheat code sims.get_sim_id_by_name, but type in the horse’s name
- For example, my horse’s name is Thunder Lynch. I use the cheat code sims.get_sim_id_by_Thunder Lynch
- Some players have had trouble getting this cheat to work. Make sure you are typing everything correctly. If it still does not work, try repairing your game through the EA app’s Manage tab.
How do you use cheats in The Sims 4?
Turning on and using cheats in The Sims 4 is quite simple. It only takes me a few moments each time I do it. If you want to utilize the Horse Ranch cheats above, follow these steps:
- Load your save and enter your game
- Type the Ctrl+Shift+C keys all at once
- Type in testingcheats true to the white text box in the top left corner and hit Enter
- Place your cheat codes in that same textbox, one at a time
