Class is back in session, as we head to Hogwarts Legacy for a little magic and witchcraft. Although Avalanche Software’s Harry Potter prequels originally wowed us, the ambitious adventure quickly fizzled out – as many modern games seem to do.
Allegedly it’s like a ghost town in Hogwarts Legacy, with a small Dumbledore’s Army of players keeping things going with their fan-made creations. In addition to turning Professor Garlic into Shrek, some have created a Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer co-op experience. Unfortunately, it may require a Reparo spell.

Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer co-op is spectacularly broken.
YouTube channel Sereno has given us a look at Hogwarts Legacy’s multiplayer co-op, which comes courtesy of the HogWarp mod. We previously covered the mod in its early stages, wild with its 10-player co-op. It doesn’t seem to have changed much, as trying to play Hogwarts Legacy co-op really breaks the game.
In the footage, we see the secondary character pop up at the most ridiculous times, slashing through Professor Weasley, riding a Grafhorn in the air, and jumping on a broomstick. It’s chaotic fun, but it proves that Hogwarts Legacy was definitely not made for multiplayer.
You can download from HogWarp mod. Nexus Mods, but obviously being in a pretty tiny state, we’re not sure you’d want to. If you want to play a multiplayer Potter game, you’ll probably have to wait for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
Does Hogwarts Legacy have multiplayer?
Unfortunately, opening the doors to the famous school of witchcraft and wizardry for wizards is over. Avalanche has repeatedly said that Hogwarts Legacy is going to be single-player out. While there are hopes that the game could be expanded to include multiplayer, that seems less likely by the day.
As well as job listings hinting at the possible existence (already) of a Legacy sequel, game director Alan Teo previously stated that “No plan“For a DLC. It’s disappointing that it also kills our hopes for a Quidditch expansion that was teased multiple times throughout our playthrough.
While plans for the Hogwarts Legacy DLC may change, it seems we’re dreaming of an expansion of the fantasy Chamber of Secrets and the ability to pick up our wands and duke it out with friends via multiplayer. To quote Dumbledore, “Sorry”
