The game Forspoken was dropped by Square Enix today, when we watched the new movie with the new trailer. This was one of the titles we’ve seen many times in the past year or so, but we haven’t really found that out because the release date was so long ago. In fact, we’re all more in two weeks, as the game isn’t going to end until January 24. For the whole of the year, the company released the new trailer that gave us a better idea of the story ahead and a glimpse of the world of Athia. Enjoy the trailer at the top.

“Since she made to New York, Frey Holland lives in an breathtaking land of Athia, with its immense cargo. A beautiful, swell-shaped bracelet wrapped in a perfect package is not so sweet as her arm. Frey discovers the power to spell powerful spells and use magic to cross the vast landscapes of Athia. Frey nicknamed her new golden companion, “Cuff”, and went to find a way home. Frey soon learned that beautiful land once thrived under the benevolent matriarchs, called Tantas, until a devastating blight completely destroyed everything that it touched.
The Break made animals, men and mankind into monsters, and rich landscapes into four dangerous realms. With their dissolutions destroying them, the Tantas now rule as maddened and evil sorceresses. As soon as the break came to an end, Frey reluctantly agreed to help the last remaining citizens of Athia who feel her only hope. Frey’s journey through this difficult and treacherous land will drive her deep into the heart of corruption where she must battle the powerful Tanta and uncover secrets that awaken more from within.
