It’s no secret that Destiny 2 has a Crucible issue. PvP players have been clamoring for attention for years, and with good reason. In an effort to ease that pressure, developer Bungie has been leaking new maps. One such map that came with the release of Witch Queen was Disjunction. Allows Guardians to play on a Pyramid Ship playground. In addition to being thematically new, it’s a weird hybrid map where long-range and up-close encounters work well. No matter what your playstyle is, here’s how to conquer it.

How to conquer Destiny 2’s Disjunction map

Take out your scouts and snipers

The middle zone of the Disjunction is similar to the no man’s land between the trenches of the First World War. Every charge through it is a mad dash full of desperate hope that enemy snipers won’t leave you dead. As such, you should stay out of the midfield at all costs. Both teams will have Guardians ready with snipers and scouts. They will be busy taking out each other from the other side of the path, but they will not pass up the opportunity to kill them easily.

Despite seeming like a pointless war of attrition, these ranged engagements help keep the enemy in check and prevent the other side from rushing in. If you are a fan of using long range weapons like Dead Man’s Tale or any sniper then this is your map. Essentially, this main runner keeps both teams mostly on the side they spawned on. Having said that…

    Play the side lanes

There are many narrow winding side lanes that wrap around and under the main corridor. These serve as fantastic bottlenecks if defending. However, more aggressive players can get some serious work done with a shotgun, SMG, or sword in these tight spaces. Even better, if executed with a coordinated fire team, it is possible to push into the other team’s base using these tunnels and corridors. If long-range encounters aren’t your thing, learn to love the fast-paced combat of the side lanes.

    Keep moving

Standing still is a death sentence in Disjunction. That is due to many open spaces. There are plenty of chest-high barriers scattered throughout the map, but that means there’s not much in the way of full cover. No matter where you are on the map, it won’t take much effort for someone to find an angle to shoot. Moving is vital to survival, especially if the game mode is Rift and requires Guardians to stick with their runner. to push from one side of the map to the other.

The super roamers are your friends

Due to the highly mobile nature of Disjunction, roaming supers will be your friends. For Titans, you’re looking for arc strikes or solar hammers. Warlocks can absolutely devastate with their Arc or Dawnblade tickler fingers. Hunters… do hunters have a Super that wouldn’t work well in Disjunction? Either way, whatever keeps your killing spree going is the route to go.
