A launch issue that prevented players on iOS 17.4 from launching the 4x strategy game Civilization VI has been determined. While this comes shortly after the last update around testing in mid-April, an update was released on May 2 that Aspyr says should fix the issue for users who play the game. I was unable to join. So, if you’ve been putting off Civilization VI until it’s fixed, now’s the time to jump back in.
A somewhat controversial entry in the Civilization series, Civ VI was often thought of as coming down from the heights of the fan-favorite Civilization V. Features of life, sports have grown in many people’s estimations. It’s one of the few Civ games that are actively available on mobile today, meaning an even wider audience gets to play.
A civilization that stands the test of time
Still, while it’s nice to see Civ VI on the mend, some fans might be a little annoyed that it took nearly a month to set up.
