The Ghost type is a strong offensive type in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as many types will not resist attacks from ghosts. He will also deal super effective damage to both psychics and other ghost types. While there aren’t many ghost-type attacks, most of them are quite powerful with high base power. The Best Pokemon Types to Counter Ghost-Type Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Ghost types are weak to Dark Y Ghost Type attacks and are immune to Struggling Y Normal type attacks. Ghost does half damage against Dark Types, making it the best counter to Ghost Types, either Dark Types that won’t take much damage or Normal Types that are immune to Ghost’s moves entirely. Many Ghost Pokemon will have Fighting-Type moves to counter Normal and Dark-Types as well, but there are some Pokemon that can get around this.

lokix it is a bug/dark type which causes it to take less damage from ghost moves and not take super effective damage from fighting moves. Another good counter are Normal/Flying-type Pokémon like squawkabilly Y staraptor that will be immune to Ghost’s attacks without taking too much damage from fighting moves.

Ghost is super effective against Ghost Y Psychic Pokémon type and usually possesses Fighting and Fairy moves. Psychic-type Pokemon will tend to learn Ghost and Dark moves to counter Ghost-types that are super effective against them. Because very few Types resist Ghost’s attacks, it is very strong offensively and can deal a lot of damage without having to rely on super effective attacks.
