Clockwork Meka is a Genshin Impact enemy group unique to Fontaine. There are seven types of normal Clockwork Meka and four types of Specialist Meks that can be found both on land and underwater. They all drop the same character and weapon Ascension materials: Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear.

Where to find Clockwork Meka in Genshin Impact

There are plenty of Clockwork Mekas in Fontaine, so you won’t have trouble finding them both above ground and underwater. Since there are seven different types of Meka, expect to see them in different forms. For instance, you might find stingray-shaped Meka underwater and spider-shaped ones above ground.

Above Ground – Court of Fontaine

Reference the image above for all the Clockwork Meka you can find within the Court of Fontaine’s land area. Most of them are situated northwest of the region.

    Above Ground – Beryl Region

How to defeat Clockwork Meka in Genshin Impact

Clockwork Meka aren’t very strong. They’re the equivalent of fungi in Fontaine so you won’t have trouble fighting them. They’re also Elementally-neutral, so you don’t have to worry about immunity. When underwater, I recommend absorbing the Xenochromatic Hunter Ray’s ability and using it against the Clockwork Mek. It can one-shot the enemies so they’re very easy to defeat.

Meanwhile, you can easily defeat Clockwork Meka on land by triggering Elemental Reactions. All of them are neutral and don’t have particular immunities, nor do they have annoying shields. I find them a lot easier to defeat than Specters (even the Specialist Meks), so your regular exploration team shouldn’t run into trouble.

If you find the Meka are a little difficult to defeat, you can make use of Pneumousia Reactions to kill them faster. Meks that release a purple glow are Pneuma-aligned, while those with a white glow are Ousia-aligned. Use any Ousia-aligned character (i.e. Lynette) against Pneuma-aligned enemies and any Pneuma-aligned character (i.e. Lyney) against Ousia enemies to trigger an Overloaded state every few seconds.
