Hit idol RPG AFK Arena has crossed 100 million players on its fifth anniversary. To celebrate, developer Lilith Games has announced the next major update as well as a series of upcoming events that will see the addition of a brand new faction. Draconian. Best of all, existing and new players can claim one of the new faction heroes completely free as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Haldon, the Crimson Sovereign, a magic-type character that specializes in damage over time will be available for free. Meanwhile, a special development event called Winged Sojourn will let you quickly increase their stats by collecting materials. There are also up to 300 free summons available as part of events if that hero somehow isn’t enough for you.
Say ‘Dragon’
Although AFK Arena is by far not the first game to introduce the concept of idle or AFK rewards, it is probably one of the most popular. Allowing players to automatically earn rewards when they’re not playing is part of the game’s core appeal and has even carried over to its sequel/spinoff, AFK Journey. But the introduction of a new faction with the Draconis indicates that Lilith Games won’t be done away with its flagship title anytime soon.
Additionally, if you’re a TikTok user or follow Lilith Games’ various social media accounts, keep your eyes peeled. A host of fan events and competitions are open to all participants, such as DIY Dragon Egg creation workshops or filters on TikTok will be available to celebrate.
